As we discussed in the meeting we have started a sign up sheet to pair up inexperienced (or brewers without full equipment) brewers with more experienced brewers in the club and collaborate on an all extract Beer
These beers will be judged at the July meeting so you will have plenty of time to work out a recipe and brew day.

Please feel free to add your name via the comments and we will draw names at the May Meeting.
Recipe/style will be up to brewers and will allow for no more than 10% steeping grains

Here are the names I have so far

    Experienced
    Tony Schubert
    Molly/Andrew Frana
    Randy Daniels
    Aaron Reif
    John Paszek
    Derek Day
    Chester Smith

    Inexperienced or lacking equipment
    Mike Davis
    Stuart Hemesath
    Jay Taets
    Nic Forbes
    Jeff Moyer
    Todd Buffington
    Jim Thalacker
    Mark Hurley

Winner is determined by “best of show” style votes at the July Club meeting correct?

10% steeping grains would account for the amount of sugar or like if the recipe is 8lbs of malt extract we only get 0.8 lbs of grain?

good question, 10% by weight would be my assumption but it might make sense to also say 10% of gravity points added.

I’d vote by weight, some steeping could be un-fermentable?

I vote to go by weight too, keeps things simple.
