The Iron Brewer competition is a monthly meeting brewing challenge where club members bring in samples to share of a designated beer style (or grouping of styles). Club members at the meeting vote on their favorite beer based on the monthly style. The person with the highest votes is designated the Iron Brewer winner for that month. Additionally, points are awarded as follows:
1st place = 5 points, 2nd place = 4 points, 3rd place = 3 points, 4th place = 2 points, 5th place = 1 point
Any winner gets points, and an automatic bye into the finals. Empty spots for finals will be filled by top point getters in descending order, up to 12 total participants for finals.

- May: Maibock/Helles
- June: Alternative Fermentables (no ciders)
- July: Amber Lager (any Amber Lager style)
- August: Kettle Sours
- September: Wood-aged or Smoked Beers
- October: Team Challenge
- November: Finals
